For the past few weeks, I’ve been seeing rainbows in the sky.

The thing that’s most interesting is I always see the rainbows in the same exact place and position.

What’s even more exciting is I find myself glancing up in the sky around the same time to notice the rainbows 🌈

I remember as a young girl one of my favorite stories in Sunday School was Noah’s ark.

Therefore, I’m quite familiar with the great significance when seeing a rainbow in the sky!

Most of the time, I will see these rainbows on the way to work.

I hardly leave work at similar times and the weather is never identical to the previous day!

For the first time, I finally asked God the yearning question that had been on my heart,

“God, why do I keep seeing rainbows?! What does this have to do with me?”

If you’re anything like me, you don’t believe in coincidences.

Everything in life has a purpose, so whenever something significant keeps reoccurring you must find an answer!

I’m so grateful as a believer of God that no matter what is happening in life the answer to any solution can always be found in His word, the Bible.

Once again, I absolutely looooove the story of Noah’s Ark.

I probably heard and read it a cjillion times!

I truly believe this time the Holy Spirit led me to read it again because I gained a fresh revelation only God could have given me.

And today, I would like to share this with you.

Our obedience to God can bring favor from God to save our family.

Genesis 6:9 is the genesis of Noah’s story.

Ha, ya like what I did there!

Okay, back to the verse 😆

This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.

Honey Bunches, I want you to pay close attention to that word only, okay!

Now, Genesis 7:1 states, when everything was ready, the Lord said to Noah, go into the boat with all of your family, for among all the people of the earth, I can see that you alone are righteous.

Another word I want you to pay attention to is alone.

Both words only and alone are synonymous with one another. (meaning they are the same.)

Before this time in reading Noah’s story, I was so focused on the covenant between God and Noah to never flood the earth again by displaying a rainbow in the sky.

I kept missing one piece that is just as important:

God’s grace is so graceful that it can extend blessings to others because of our obedience.

Noah was righteous, the only person who was faithful to God at the time, yet God favored Noah so much He was willing to save Noah’s entire family even though they weren’t faithful to God!

Let’s read Genesis 6:9 again, This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God.

The reason why this is so significant to my current season is I’ve finally feel like I’m at a place spiritually where I’m faithful to God and dependent on God for all of my needs and desires.

For the past few months, I’ve been really seeking God about my family.

My desire has been that we all get to a place spiritually where we can be every bit of who God has created us to be.

I’m ashamed to say some of the individuals in my family it’s the first time I’ve ever prayed for them!

Yet, I believe God has powerful things He would like to do through my family.

Even my family members who seem far away from God I believe God can graciously extend his grace to them.

You see, the rainbows here recently are significant to me because when I started to pray for my family, I would start praying on my way to work at the same place and position.

I believe the rainbows are also God’s reminder to me of a covenant He made to my grandmother, Big Momma, who prayed long ago that all of her family would be saved.

Honey Bunches, I don’t know if there’s been a reoccurring verse, image, word, number in your life.

I do challenge you to pray and ask God for the meaning and purpose he has for you.

Take it a step further after prayer and look up it’s significance in the Bible!

My prayer is that the same God who revealed a long forgotten covenant to me and my family will be the same God to reveal His truth to you🌈
