I want you to know the tears you’ve cried God saw you.

I want you to know every prayer you prayed God heard you.

I want you to know every failed relationship God protected you.

Today, I want to break your myths about loneliness.

You see, I know a thing or two about loneliness!

It has been an on and off again relationship I’ve had for about three years.

There have been days where my emotions try to convince me to simply settle, so I can be wanted, needed, or loved.

However, when I experience loneliness, there always seems to be something on the inside of me, a feeling, The Holy Spirit, screaming,

“Girl, Don’t you do it! Don’t you dare give up on what is for you!”.

Honey Bunches, you are a daughter of God.

Meaning, the same Holy Spirit who lives on the inside of me lives inside of you!

Loneliness can bring all kinds of emotions to make you feel less than what God knows about you.

And, you know God and His word are filled with the ultimate truth!

Whenever I experience loneliness, I depend on the word of God to help me get my mind together.

Today, I want to share with you what God has helped me to strengthen my mind whenever I am faced with loneliness.

Two Spiritual Nuggets In Overcoming Loneliness.

1. Loneliness is not invisible. Loneliness is separation.

“I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away.”

Isaiah 41:9 NLT‬‬

Being isolated from what you desire is not the best feeling in the world.

Let’s be real, it sucks!

To see other people have the very thing you may have prayed your entire life for can make you feel unseen.

The state of loneliness can make you feel hidden by God!

On the other hand, you have to remember whose child you are even when life seems to be dark around you: You are God’s child.

When you are a child of God, Honey Bunches, you are always seen and God will bring you out of the place of separation!

2. Loneliness is a feeling, it can be changed!

“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”

Psalms 23:4 NLT‬‬

Uh-oh! Did I hit a nerve?

Let me tell you, when God revealed this nugget to me I felt like He came for my entire neck.

Yes, loneliness is a feeling!

This means you and I do not have to remain in the state of loneliness.

Whenever you are feeling hidden, tap into the word of God to help bring you out!

Begin to read the word of God out loud over yourself and situation, even if your emotions are not agreeing at the moment.

Dr. Robert C. Pitman says it best,

“…every time you read the Bible you are in the presence of the Author.”

If I can be even more transparent with you, I notice loneliness tends to creep into my life when I am not as intentional in the Bible.

Hiding myself in the word of God keeps my heart and mind focused on what is true.

Honey Bunches, remember there is a time and season for everything!

God loves you, He cares, and He knows what you need.

Choose to be intentional in truth this season.

Take control of your thoughts by remaining focused on what is true and not your feelings. 😉

My prayer is that the very things God has revealed to me will help you to overcome loneliness. May you experience joy in your season until God blesses you with your heart’s desires.
